Based in Barnoldswick, On the Lancashire & Yorkshire border Cobble Cottage is a great starting point to explore the Red and White Rose counties. The market town of Skipton with its' medieval castle , The Yorkshire Dales ,Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley are all only a short journey. 
The cottage is 50 yards from route 1 of the well known Pendle way walk which takes in some splendid scenery, including Pendle Hill - home of the Pendle Witches legend.
On your doorstep there are some great local walks including the Weets Hill and the Leeds and
Liverpool canal which provide the backdrop to some lovely countryside views.
After a day walking or exploring the local pub is only yards away and the town centre is only 5 minutes walk and offers a selection of  Delis,Restaurants,Pubs and a Supermarket.
